‘Let’s learn from our mistakes’*

Resigned on Monday: Terrence Farrell


PRESIDENT of the Trinidad and Tobago Manufacturers' Association Christopher Alcazar says he is not surprised by the resignation of Dr Terrence Farrell as chairman of the Economic Development Advisory Board (EDAB).

He said Farrell took on the role to achieve a particular outcome and now, despite his best efforts, “the bureaucracy and delayed implementation of sound ideas have frustrated this outcome”.

Alcazar, in a statement yesterday, said Farrell's resignation was a loss to T&T's diversification agenda, as he advocated strongly over his tenure that the local private sector must lead the diversification effort in the quest for economic sustainability.
