Tennis’ future looks bright*

THE FUTURE looks brighter than ever for the sport of tennis in Tthe country. The goal of the Tennis Association of Trinidad and Tobago (TATT) is for this country to be the hub for the sport in the region and the International Tennis Federation (ITF) is now in their corner.

As many as five junior events sanctioned by the world governing body for the sport were staged here last year and Luca Santilli, their executive director for tennis development, promised to help make the dream a reality when he visited in November.

The Italian, who is the highest-ranking ITF official to ever visit Trinidad, stated that the National Racquet Centre, the Tacarigua home for badminton, table tennis and tennis for almost year, is a world-class facility.
