A NEW year means a new and special season of the Mohammed’s Electrical Coaching Academy (MECA), which bowls off its 2018 cricket clinic with registration tomorrow morning at the Aranjuez Sports Club pavilion. Founded in 1993, MECA will observe 2018 as its silver anniversary year.
Officials and coaches will be on site from 8.30 a.m. tomorrow for registration. As usual, sessions are conducted on Sunday mornings under the supervision of Trinidad and Tobago Cricket Board-certified head coach Rajindra Ramadhin. Actual coaching is scheduled to begin on January 21 and caters for boys and girls ages five to 17. MECA’s cricket programme usually attracts over 100 students and runs for five-and-a-half months, concluding with the end of the academic year in early July.
