Caribbean voices blast Trump's foul language

THE 15-nation Caribbean Community (Caricom), a university professor and a former diplomat were some of the voices who condemned President of the United States, Donald Trump, and his use of “repulsive language” to describe Haiti and African nations.

The condemnation came a day after Trump called Haiti and Africa “shithole countries” during an immigration meeting with members of the US Congress last Thursday.

In a strongly worded statement yesterday Caricom said it was “deeply disturbed by reports about the use of derogatory and repulsive language by the President of the United States in respect of our member state, Haiti, and other developing countries”. (See story below)
