Massive, Supersad in Chutney Soca finals*

Controversial: Massive (Nermal Gosein) on stage performing “Rowley Mudda Count” at the Chutney Soca semi-finals, LIV Nightclub, La Romaine, on Saturday night.

Overznight chutney soca sensation Rome (Jerome Precilla) looked a shoo-in for the Chutney Soca Monarch (CSM) final. That is until the results were released yesterday afternoon.
The parang soca hit-maker enjoyed a dream debut at the semi-final stage of the competition with his crowd-pleasing double entendre “D Key”, on Saturday night, at LIV Nightclub, Gulf View, La Romaine.
However, when organisers Southex Promotions released the results he was not among the ten to advance, to meet joint defending monarchs Ravi B (Ravi Bissambhar) and Omadath Maharaj in the showpiece final, on January 27, at Skinner Park, San Fernando.
