Convenient moral amnesia*

Let me state upfront that I am no fan of either calypso or chutney and may listen unintentionally to what is regarded as indigenous art forms. In this respect I may be characterised as not being a true Trini, whatever that term means. I do, however, consider myself as patriotic and nationally grounded as any other Trinbagonian.
On the issue of Massive Gosein’s “Rowlee Mudda Count”, which has spawned so much commentary in the media, my response is that it is a superficially conceived song which may be interpreted as a clumsy and contrived attack on Prime Minister Rowley.
