One year ago today a 16-year-old schoolgirl was laid to rest, having become the victim of a brutal murder days earlier.
On January 13, 2017, Rachel Ramkissoon, a pupil of North Eastern College in Sangre Grande, was found murdered in a bushy area not far from her San Raphael home.
Still clad in her school uniform, the teen had several injuries about her face, chest and legs. She had been strangled.
To date, no one has been held for the crime.
