Our country is facing major challenges and many of our systems appear broken. We hear analyses from many quarters, some even with proposed solutions.
However, things continue to go from bad to worse. I am suggesting that the biggest impediment to progress currently being faced by our country is the unwillingness of citizens to take responsibility for improving systems that fall within their sphere of responsibility.
We spend most of our time and energy pointing the finger at easy targets for blame, while simple solutions, within our power to implement, remain unexplored.
An open secret to success is being deliberate; we should actively make informed choices, we should not simply accept the default.
