Kamla: We cannot afford the risk*

OPPOSITION Leader Kamla Persad-Bissessar said yesterday Trinidad and Tobago cannot risk having ISIS fighters return home and face no anti-terrorism measures. The Sunday Express reported that families who journeyed from Trinidad and Tobago to Syria and Iraq to join ISIS are returning home. Imam Nazim Mohammed of the masjid in Boos Village, Rio Claro, said these T&T nationals posed no threat.
However, Persad-Bissessar told the Express yesterday that while the imam may be well intentioned, this country cannot afford to risk it.
