Young accountant turns entrepreneur*

Karon Felmine is like hundreds of millenials in T&T who are viewing the downturn in the economy as an opportunity to their own businesses with the support of their families.
Unlike many of those young people who venture into business, 35-year-old Felmine, has a solid professional base to fall bank on. She is a chartered accountant who received her ACCA accreditation in 2007 and graduated with a Masters in International Finance from the UWI Arhur Lok Jack Graduate School of Business in 2013.
But because the entrepreneurial bug had bitten her, she opted not to go to work for one of the established accounting firms in the country, although she had worked for the TTEC credit union .
