Driving around Trinidad makes me very upset because I realise that those in authority don’t pay more attention to our environment.
My daily trip from San Fernando to PoS allows me to observe how unkempt the highways and buildings are. And what should be aesthetically pleasing areas are overgrown and deplorable.
I would like to point out workable ideas that will beautify and add value to the environment.
Each time the barrier along the Solomon Hochoy Highway is displaced, the ensuing repair work involves a significant cost; and cars are constantly running into those barriers. My suggestion is that we plant trees along the middle of the highway. They are cheaper and work magic for the atmosphere and general environment.
