OVER 100 boys and girls have registered to take part in the Badree’s Academy of Sport Education (BASE) ten-month youth development programme.
The Academy seeks to promote healthy lifestyles and holistic development through the sport of cricket and runs every Monday from 4 p.m. to 5.30 p.m., and Saturdays from 9 a.m. to 10 a.m., and caters for boys and girls from five to 15 years old.
BASE is chaired by West Indian cricketer Samuel Badree and has on its staff qualified and experienced coaches who are passionate about youth development. Badree reinforced the need for such programmes, especially in light of the absence of activities to keep young people meaningfully engaged.
