The Trinidad and Tobago Table Tennis Association (TTTTA) will not be forced to go to arbitration to settle the Dexter St Louis/Rheann Chung selection dispute.
In a court order issued yesterday, Madame Justice Eleanor Donaldson-Honeywell said:
“The application for an order that the Defendant (TTTTA) refer the question of the defendant’s selection of Trinidad and Tobago’s representatives for the 2018 Commonwealth Games to arbitration by the TTOC (Trinidad and Tobago Olympic Committee) as provided for in Article 31 of the TTOC constitution is dismissed.”
With arbitration out of the equation, the matter will go to trial on March 5. In yesterday’s order, Donaldson-Honeywell instructed that “the interim injunction reinstated on January 24, 2018 is to continue until further order.”
