“IF you continue to distress my officers, fire go bun yuh,” Prisons Commissioner Gerard Wilson warned criminals during yesterday's funeral service for slain prison officer Devendra Boodooram.

Addressing the congregation at the Faith Assembly International church at Five Rivers Junction, Arouca, Wilson said he re-purposed reigning Soca Monarch Voice's (Aaron St Louis) 2018 hit “Year for Love” that calls on the country's violent criminals to stop.

At 5.10 p.m. on January 26, Boodooram, 50, was ambushed and shot as he drove his Honda CRV along upper Frederick Street, Port of Spain after leaving the Port of Spain Prison where he had earlier completed his shift.
