Cricket without a cause*

Two Fridays ago, Vice Chancellor of The University of the West Indies (The UWI), Prof Hilary Beckles, launched his latest publication, Cricket Without a Cause: Fall and Rise of the Mighty West Indian Cricketers, at the St Augustine campus.
The book was launched at Kings College, London last September and at the Mona and Cavehill campuses late November, 2017. The work can be considered the first comprehensive analysis of the decline of West Indian Test cricket. Sir Hilary himself deems it his most important work to date, a collection of thoughts and ideas which gelled out of anger and disillusionment on his sofa during the 2015 Christmas break.
