JERUSALEM has been described as a festival and a lamentation.
The same description fits our beloved country. Besieged as we are, we see fellow citizens cut down by the dozen.
The slain include not only those “known to the police” and gang members. They include innocent men, women and children. As their blood spills our blood congeals in our veins with fear.
In the Book of Lamentations, the author(s) talk about young men and women being cut down by swords, children begging their mothers for food and even the roads of Jerusalem mourning its condition.
