Carter snags three individual gold medals for USC Trojans*


Top Trinidad and Tobago swimmer Dylan Carter splashed to a new pool record and three individual gold medals when his University of Southern California hosted the top-ranked University of California and the number four-ranked Stanford University in separate dual meets Friday and Saturday, respectively.
Carter’s school, ranked 10th in the USA, played host to both team at their Uytengsu Aquatics Center base.
On Friday versus the California Bears, Carter staged a come-from-behind victory in the Men’s 200-yard freestyle when he was timed in 1:33.24, beating Andrew Seliskar (1:34.47) into second while breaking former Bear and US Olympian Tom Shields’ mark of 1:33.70.
