Windward villages boost tourism efforts*

Villages in windward Tobago are making strides in developing their tourism products. Secretary of Tourism, Culture and Transportation Nadine Stewart-Phillips said she is impressed with what several communities are contributing to tourism on the island.

The secretary was part of a Tourism Division team on the recent Community and Project Tour to some of these areas.

She commended community groups for their resourcefulness. “These types of community-led initiatives are at the heart and soul of Tobago's tourism product and we need to ensure their sustainable growth as we work to move the industry forward,” Stewart-Phillips said.
