TOBAGO schoolteacher Kla Marie Cain was beaten so badly with a hammer that her skull was cracked.
These were the findings of an autopsy performed yesterday at the Scarborough General Hospital.
The autopsy result findings said that Cain died of blunt cranio cerebral trauma, sustained a cracked skull with damage to the brain.
Cain, 25, was bludgeoned to death outside the school she taught at Nursery School Street, Lambeau on Friday.
Cain, a mother of two, died at the scene.
Police suspect the incident was domestic-related and have are searching for a male relative to assist in investigations.
Cain is the second person killed in Tobago, and the fifth woman killed in the country for the year.
Soldiers and police officers searched the bushes in Lowlands, Tobago, yesterday searching for a suspect.
The suspect, a close male relative of Cain's, has eluded police officers since he was allegedly seen running from the scene.
