Making complex things simple is a special skill. It requires really coming to grips with a given subject, having considered it from all possible angles.
University of the West Indies Vice-Chancellor, Professor Sir Hilary Beckles, has sought to bring clarity to the most complicated subject of what has happened to West Indies Cricket in his latest publication: Cricket Without A Cause – Fall And Rise Of The Mighty West Indian Test Cricketers.
Be warned though, Cricketers Without A Cause is not an easy read.
The scholarly way professors often write may not be everyone’s cup of cocoa. And certain of the book’s content may trouble the island sensibilities of some.
