Franchise owners Omar Hadeed and Daniel Fakoory are dismissing the view that franchises are absorbing most of this country’s foreign exchange.
“But the truth is whether we are here or not people are going to be purchasing online because that’s the way of the future,” Hadeed told Express Business, speaking generally about the impact of local businessmen owning foreign franchises.
“We are actually bringing business back to Trinidad. Yes we do need foreign exchange requirements but at the end of the day we are creating employment. If people just shop online there would be no benefit at all,” Hadeed said in an interview last week at his corporate office in Trincity.
