Gunned down on the way to the parlour

A 25-year-old man was gunned down as he was walking to a village parlour in Moruga on Wednesday.

Kevin Hamlet was walking along Third Street when he was ambushed by a gunmen at around 2pm.

Police said the gunman opened fire of Hamlet, hitting him in the head and upper body.

Hamlet, of Fifth Company, collapsed on the roadway. The gunman ran away.

Hamlet who was known to police was pronounced dead at the scene.

Police said the murder was witnessed by several people.

Investigators have a description of the gunman and have launched a manhunt in the area.
