TTTTA appeals injunction*

FRANCE-BASED PROS: Dexter St Louis, left, and Rheann Chung

The Trinidad and Tobago Table Tennis Association (TTTTA) is going to the court of appeal to challenge the extension of the injunction granted by Madame Justice Eleanor Donaldson-Honeywell in the high court matter involving the country's most successful players, Dexter St Louis and Rheann Chung.

France-based St Louis and Chung challenged their non-selection for the April 4-15 Commonwealth Games in the Gold Coast, Australia, and were given injunctive relief by Donaldson-Honeywell.

“It is ordered that an Interim Injunction is granted restraining the defendant, whether by itself its servants or agents, from taking any further steps to implement the decision made by the Trinidad and Tobago Table Tennis Association on or around 14 November 2017 pertaining to the selection of players (Aaron Wilson, Yuvraaj Dookram and Arun Roopnarine)...”
