TWO more men allegedly caught transporting marijuana out of the south western peninsular of Trinidad were arrested on Wednesday night.
A 25-year-old man of Moruga, and a 29-year-old man of La Romaine, were allegedly caught by police with approximately $50,000 worth of the narcotics.
At around 8.30 p.m. Ag Insp Khan and Sgt Ramsaran and others of the Santa Flora CID intercepted a white Nissan B-14 along SS Erin Road.
The two suspects were detained, and officers searched the vehicle.
Hidden in a laptop bag, police said they found five brown packets containing a total of three kilogrammes of marijuana, valued $50,000.
The suspects were arrested and taken to the Santa Flora Police Station.
They were charged by Cpl Smith with the offence of possession of marijuana for the purpose of trafficking.
On Tuesday two men were arrested in Erin for allegedly transporting $6.5 million worth of marijuana.
They were expected to appear before a Siparia Magistrate today.
