This is an open letter to the chairman and staff of the National Carnival Commission (NCC) and the Minister of Arts and Culture. Every year, we the citizens who choose to stay home for Carnival Monday and Tuesday, are subjected to the same boring scenarios.
One TV station would usually show the parade of bands from the Queen’s Park Savannah alone.
This year, no station showed the Jouvert celebrations. A big steups.
Carnival celebrations take place all over Trinidad and even in Tobago, so why do we only see a small section of the parade of bands in Port of Spain alone? What about Carnival segments from Chaguanas, Couva, Penal, San Fernando, Arima, to name a few places? What about Tobago?
