Carnival visitors who opted to view the Parade of Bands from the stands along Adam Smith Square yesterday said while they were cautious and worried about reports of a threat to disrupt Carnival, they refused to let it dampen their Carnival spirit.
Trinidad-born US resident Ge­r­al­dine Wickham said she arrived in Trinidad two weeks ago.
She said when she heard of the reports of a threat, she reconsidered leaving her family's home in Couva to venture into Port of Spain yesterday.
“But everything seemed to be fine yesterday (Monday) from what I saw on the television, so we're here today and fully enjoying it,” she said.
