BARBADIANS Shane Dowrich and Jomel Warrican combined to put Windies A on course for victory over England Lions after the third day of the first First-Class Test at the Trelawny Multi-Purpose Stadium in Jamaica yesterday.
Dowrich slammed 119 to lead the Windies A to 279, replying to the Lions’ first innings of 252.
Batting a second time, the visitors were dismissed for 132, losing all their wickets to spin.
Left-armer Warrican grabbed seven wickets for 33 runs while off-spinner Rahkeem Cornwall, who opened the bowling with left-arm seamer Raymon Reifer, took the other three Lions wickets.
Needing 106 for victory, Windies A closed the day on 31 for one, needing a further 75 runs to win the match and take a 1-0 lead in the series.
