First Citizens marks 35 years in Couva

The Couva branch of First Citizens celebrated its 35th anniversary on Thursday June 21. The branch first opened its doors on June 21, 1977 and was known at that time as the Regional Office for the south region. This branch was opened mainly to the employees of ISCOTT, Plipdeco House, Caroni and the residents of Couva and had a staff complement of 15 employees. Today it boasts of a customer base of over 14,000 and a staff complement of 31.
