Former banker and business development specialist Brian Frontin takes over today as chairman of the new board of directors of the Tourism Development Company (TDC).
Frontin and the other directors will be installed at a ceremony at noon today at the Hyatt Regency (Trinidad) in Port of Spain.
He replaces former TDC chairman Rajiv Shandilya whose term has come to an end.
Tourism Minister Stephen Cadiz will deliver an address at the event.
The TDC is the marketing and implementation agency of the Ministry of Tourism.
Frontin worked for more than 12 years in the banking industry in positions at CIBC Frist Caribbean International Bank and First Citizens.
He has previous business development expertise in the areas of energy & petrochemicals, light manufacturing, fleet management and transportation, tourism and hospitality, food and restaurant and construction.
He is the chairman of Evolving TecKnologies and Enterprise Development Company Ltd (eTecK), a position he will relinquish when he takes over at the TDC.
He was also chairman of State enterprise InvestTT.
Frontin is currently based in Tobago where he is an advisor at the Ministry of Tobago Development.
