A group of potential investors from Saudi Arabia are in Trinidad and Tobago to explore new business with this country.
The Ministry of Trade and the national investment promotion agency invesTT Ltd hosted the investment delegation from Saudi Arabia led by Dr Fahad Al Dawood yesterday.
The delegation, visiting for the period of March 24-28, paid a courtesy visit on Minister of Trade Vasant Bharath at his Nicholas Towers office in Port of Spain.
Al Dawood noted the major developments taking place in Trinidad and Tobago and expressed keen interest in establishing stronger investment ties with Trinidad and Tobago, through investment in sectors such as tourism, which he believes can attract many tourists from Saudi Arabia, the ministry said in a statement yesterday.
Bharath outlined the key sectors targeted for diversification which are open for investments and said that he was “confident that this meeting will be the start of new relations which will strengthen ties and create investments that will be mutually beneficial for both countries”.
Following the courtesy call, invesTT delivered a presentation to the delegation outlining specific investment opportunities in Trinidad and Tobago.
During their visit, the delegation will visit key Government ministers and agencies and engage in investment opportunity talks, the ministry said.
