Tobago will see an increase in British Airways flights from London, Gatwick from one to two per week effective October 2014.
Diane Corrie, commercial manager Caribbean British Airways, said yesterday that the increase was in response to “heightened demand in leisure travel from the UK to Tobago”.
Noting that Tobago was “growing in popularity as a vacation destination for European tourists”, Corrie said in a statement: “British Airways is continuously reviewing its schedules to stay abreast of demand and to be responsive to the needs of its customers.”
She said that “British Airways is committed to providing the best possible services to and from Trinidad & Tobago and the other 10 Caribbean gateways we fly to—Kingston, Nassau, Grand Cayman, Providenciales, Barbados, Antigua, Punta Cana, St Kitts, Grenada, St Lucia.”
The increase in flights to Tobago comes on the heels of other expanded schedules Caribbean-wide including Barbados, Kingston, St Lucia, Grenada, Antigua, Punta Cana.
