BOLLYWOOD playback singer Sunidhi Chauhan has apologised to her fans in Trinidad and Tobago, as she will not be performing at the SIS Chutney Brass show tonight.
Chauhan issued a video yesterday expressing disappointment in not being able to perform at the show. Randy Glasgow Promotions, producers of the annual event, stated that the Indian singer’s performance was cancelled as six members of her band were not granted travel visas.
The highly anticipated performance was expected to be included in the event taking place at Guaracara Park, Pointe-a-Pierre. The producers apologised for Chauhan’s non appearance and indicated that the time slot would be filled by local chutney bands Sally Sagram and Extreme and D Rampersad Indi Art.
Randy Glasgow Promotions stated that a roly poly showdown was also added — a battle between Grenadian soca star Mr Kill@ and his dancers versus local comedian Kenneth Supersad and his group of dancers.
Chauhan was expected to perform in Trinidad during her tour of the United Kingdom, United States and Australia.
Local bands performing at the event include Raymond Ramnarine and Dil-e-Nadan, KI and JMC 3Veni, Anil Bheem and BMRZ, Ravi B and Karma, Melobugz and Gayatones among others.
