Bocas Lit Fest 2013 runs April 25 - 28

The 2013 NGC Bocas Lit Fest is a four-day festival of words—written and spoken, that caters for everyone, from the youngest to the oldest, who like to read, write or tell stories. The Festival weekend is April 25 to 28, but the Children’s Festival starts much earlier.

In Tobago and San Juan on April 6, storytelling events continue every weekend until the end of the Festival on April 28. Venues for the Lit Fest are the National Library and the Old Fire Station.

Events for the Festival include book sales, workshops, films, readings, performance poetry and open mic. Over 50 writers and literary performers, local, regional and international will be involved in the Festival. Performance Poetry: On the Spot- Inkquest brings its special brand of improv poetry to the NGC Bocas Lit Fest. Writers compete to extemporise on themes connected to the 2013 festival, and a panel of celebrity judges choose the winners 7.30—9 p.m.: Little Carib Theatre.
