Muse salon and spa located in St James launched the exclusive range of Kerastase products that claim to restore the beauty of one's hair in three simple steps: cleanse, treat and protect. The lines that are currently offered in Trinidad are: Cristalliste, Nutritive, Resistance, Reflection, Age Premium and Homme Capital Force (for men).

"Each line contains three products designed to take care of the client's specific hair care needs. The six lines also give customers the opportunity to mix the products if they have more than one hair concern," said Regional Manager for Kerastase, Raul Roderiguez.

"The Cristalliste line is great for people with long hair. It consists of a shampoo, conditioner and leave-in serum. The liquid light complex rebalances the hair fiber leaving the roots clean and lightweight and ends smooth and free flowing with overall incredible shine. The Nutritive line is great for women who have normal to very dry; curly or rebellious hair. The product replenishes the hair creating softness, suppleness and shine. In hot climates like ours; it provides intense nutrition deep inside the hair fiber," Roderiguez said.

"The Resistance line is our strengthening line. For hair that is fine, weakened or damaged our Resistance line of products improves and protects the hair structure. Our Reflection line is for women with colour-treated hair who want to keep their colour longer. The products protect the hair and keep the colour from stripping while adding shine. Our Age Premium line addresses three concerns with mature hair; porosity of the hair fiber, loss of density and dry scalp. The special blend of ingredients works collectively to replenish hair with essential minerals. The collagen formula infused within this line leave hair thicker and more vibrant. L'Oreal is well known in make-up and skin care products and for the past couple of years has been trying to expand into hair care with their unique range of hair care products. We also carry a hair care line for men that also address their concerns. A 2 in 1 shampoo that has a fresh clean scent cleanses and nourishes the hair in one easy step. We also have a gel wax that helps to mold and style the hair," he added.

Sarah Hosein has been a hairstylist for the past 23 years and is also the owner of the newly opened Muse salon and spa.

Giving her secret to good hair, Hosein said, "For good hair I would tell my clients first start with a good diet and good products suited for your hair type.

Kerastase is different than all other products on the market today because of the technology behind it. It is great for all ages and all hair types. It moisturizes the hair without weighing it down."

Muse salon opened its doors June of this year and offers a wide range of services that include: eyebrow waxing, make up, cuts, colours, hair extensions, spa manicure and pedicure.
