Fashion Show for a cause

...funds raised went to 20 families impacted by AIDS

By Sue-Ann Wayow Express South Bureau

THIRTY MODELS from across Trinidad came together for one night to participate in a fashion show in south Trinidad on Sunday.

The proceeds from the fashion show will be used to provide clothing for AIDS victims in San Fernando.

The show was hosted by Titanium Entertainment, a charitable group launch last year September.

Its founder Therese Chung said the motto is "Party for a purpose."
The fashion show was held at Tradewinds Hotel at St Joseph Village in San Fernando, and Driftwood Restaurant, located at the hotel, supported the cause.

Polished Vixen Boutique located at Gulf View and Avenue Montaigne from Maraval provided clothing for the show.

Chung, 37 who is an events planner, said funds raised were enough to clothe at least 20 households.

She said ,"Trinidadians are loyal and there are good samaritans amongst the citizens of Trinidad and Tobago. Titanium Entertainment is here to stay and help those in need. It was launched simply because we are blessed and we wanted to give back something to the community. Trinidadians like to enjoy the good life so any form of entertainment we have, the money is donated to different charities. We are also about helping youths and the committee members are young people."
