The Fashion Coda event at the Magdalena Grand Resort in Tobago last Thursday proved to be quite a success. This event featured the creations of several top local designers being showcased by models from both islands.
The event produced by Don Grant and a team he assembled was an all-inclusive affair with patrons enjoying food, drinks, deserts, the fashion and live entertainment. The focus here is on the food prepared and served by the hotel’s staff as well as by people from the Tobago Hospitality and Tourism Institute.
As the patrons and even hotel guests sauntered about the poolside area they were invited to help themselves to vegetable quiche, cheese tarts, crab cakes, Cajun shrimp, egg and ceviche, chicken kebabs, carved beef, crudités and more, including dessert trays featuring tiramisu, almond cakes and assorted fruit such as mangoes, watermelons, pineapple, apples and more.
The helpings were quite sizeable and even after the runway segment and live entertainment was near its end there was still food and drinks at the bar.
Maybe the promoters of the all-inclusive here can learn something from Grant and his team.
