DEEPAK Maharaj and his sister Divya Maharaj love their country so much that they decided to release a single - called Mother of Trinidad and Tobago.

Its their first song to be released and the siblings have plans to produce many more. The song is to commemorate the nation's 50th Independence.

Deepak and Divya live at Mohess Road in Penal.

Deepak, 23 is a third year student at the University of the West Indies where he is studying dentistry.
Divya,18 is a pupil of the Iere High School pursuing the Caribbean Advanced Proficiency Examination (CAPE).

The song was produced over a two month time frame and is a mixture of Hindi and English. It is being played on the airwaves and the video was recently completed.

Deepak described the video as " a whole unique sense of Trinidad and Tobago."

The music video is filmed in various parts of the country and features musicians playing indian instruments as well as the steelpan. African drummers and dancers also participated. Deepak directed and designed the video.
