By Sue-ann Wayow

THINK you look like deceased Chutney icon Sundar Popo?
If you look like him and can act, sing and dance, you might be chosen to play the lead role in the upcoming drama production "Sundar."

Iere Theatre Productions Ltd, headed by Victor Edwards, is in the process of producing the play.

Auditions take place on Saturday at Naparima Girls' High School from 10 .am. to 3 p.m.

Edwards said the play will be " depicting the contributions Sundar made to the East Indian culture in the country."

It is expected to be ready for public viewing during the weekend of Indian Arrival Day on May 30.

And it will be shown at the Southern Academy for Performing Arts (SAPA) in the auditorium which is named after Popo.
Edwards said: "What we are looking for is a Sundar Popo look-alike who could sing, act and dance. There is no major criteria to audition."
Iere Theatre Productions Ltd has been responsible for several historical plays including "Eric:The Musical," "The Temple in the Sea", the "Nelson Island Re-enactment" and the most recent "A Brighter Sun."
