Kezie Peters' First Album

A 27-year-old clerical assistant launched her first album on Sunday at the San Fernando Open Bible Church.

Kezie Peters who works at TECU Credit Union said it was a privilege to launch her album entitled, "Music over me".

"Music over me" is also the name of the title track and tells Peters' story from the moment her parents met to today.

The album featuring 10 songs is described as an urban, contemporary gospel album. Peters wrote five songs on the album.

Peters, who lives in San Fernando is a worship leader at the San Fernando Open Bible Church and a member of the Gates Praise worship team, one of the worship teams at the church.

Last December, the team launched their second album, Hope of Nations. Peters' album will be the third to be produced under the Gates Praise Music label and the team's first solo album.

Peters said, " It is a privilege to be able to have your voice heard and to be able to tell your own story. Jesus Christ has been faithful to me and it is a privilege to have what he has done for me showcased."

Peters thanked her parents, Herbert Peters and Erica Webb-Peters, her brother Mervyn Peters and sister Juelle Peters for their support. She also thanked her pastor Reverend Cecil Quamina and his wife Reverend Deborah Quamina.

Jiselle Perez, marketing representative for Gates Praise Music said, " Kezie Peters is a one-of-a-kind talent, whose diverse gifting and personality can adapt to almost any genre including Calypso, jazz, pop, gospel, reggae, jamoo, alternative, contemporary, and more."

She said, "From her performances as early as age 12, Kezie has blossomed into an anointed, soulful, dynamic singer who can hold her own alongside any local or international artiste."
