Nailing your Independence celebrations

Beauty Elements Nail Salon and Spa, located at Sheila Lamorell Gardens, Rancho Quemado (south Trinidad) is owned by the ambitious nail technician, Reon Lamorell. The entrepreneur who has been in business since 2003 is ecstatic about trying out new designs to celebrate the upcoming Independence Day holiday.

Lamorell began working from the verandah of her small Fyzabad home before earning a small spot in Siparia. As a mother and a wife she was always driven to contribute to her household income and own her own business. Observing other nail technicians fueled her desire to take up the craft. And with proper training, sacrifices and practice, she succeeded. Years later she was able to officially build her very own salon at her new home.

Always inspired to try new things, she has now expanded her business and now sells wigs, weaves and other hair accessories. She also specialises in eyebrow shaping and waxing.

This year she is trying new, innovative styles that can later blend in to the everyday look. She says women both young and old enjoy being patriotic by showing off their national colours through their nails. However, there is always the thought about the days that follow. She explained that she is experimenting with acrylic paints, rhinestones, stickers blended with nail art, airbrushing, gels and acrylic designs to create something unique for each client.

So while she is happy to show off her bold and exotic nails in red, white and black, there will be a slight twist that can blend in with every outfit and be flaunted for any occasion.

If you would like to rock a unique nail design for the holiday contact Reon Lamorell at 396-5198.
