SWRHA's Cancer Awareness Walk

IN commemoration of Cancer Month, staff and patients at the San
Fernando General Hospital, joined with members of the public
to walk the streets of San Fernando to raise cancer awareness.
The walk was organised by the hospital's Oncology Department.
Anil Gosine, chief executive officer of the SWRHA said throughout the
month of October there will be various lectures and presentations
about oncology and cancer at the different public health facilities
that are part of the SWRHA.
He said the lectures will be conducted by Dr Dillon Narinesingh,
Head of the Oncology Department and Dr Gordon Narinesingh,
and other oncologists.
In September, a breast clinic was opened at the San Fernando
General Hospital. The clinic is open every Monday.
