Comments: Experts split on Windies captain
Experts Split On Windies Captain Posted: 2009-11-01 9:33:00 PM
Darren Ganga must first earn a place on the team. This indecent haste to have a Trinidadian as captain is destructive to the chemistry needed to win games. 20/20 is not cricket. It doesn't matter how much lipstick you put on this pig.
Ganga & Gayle Saga Posted: 2009-11-02 00:51:00 AM
Well you both have hit the nail smack center – Mr. Carew i totally agreed with you and your comments, we need to look to the future of West Indies cricket, and Ganga is… Ganga was born a leader – he has sight beyond sight for the game, and he knows how to mold you as a person and a player, and can sure elevate your game to the highest level, but! First of all he has to be able to maintain his spot in the team, and the way West Indies cricket board treat the players is wrong – from the time you’ve been selected is like you standing in front the firing squad and under real pressure mentally, because as you fail is – next… As for T Gray comments, Ganga need to put up some big score in this upcoming regional, and that should e enough to win the hearts of the selectors and the top job, now if he cannot or is no performing well we need to fine a way to help him in this area of his game… we have too many top coaches & players in the country that can access with this project of utmost importance. And we need not forget that Ganga is the best captain that the Caribbean has seen in many moons, and may be for many more. PS: I think the West Indies cricket board needs to let Chris Gayle know that in an interview he is the voice of the entire Caribbean and to the world that is watching, and he’s not at home speaking on RJR or Ire FM in Jamaica… He needs to carry him self as a professional and the voice of the region when he’s been interviewed. I would like to know if their is any international side or otherwise that would retain the incumbent captain after comments were made by said captian as issued by Gayle? Gayle has to realize that W.I. cricket is WAAAAY bigger than Chris Gayle, and to captain the side, however dismal its fortunes is a privilege.
