Taxi rapists assault woman

South Bureau

A woman travelling into San Fernando yesterday got into a PH taxi that turned out to be a trap used by three men who raped her.

The 55-year-old woman said she got into the car at 10 a.m., asking to be taken to Coffee Street.

The men then told her not to scream and she was carried to a house at Pemberton Street, La Romaine, where she was assaulted. The woman said she was then dropped off in a lonely area.

Mon Repos police detectives are investigating.

At Sampson Trace, Cunupia, on Tuesday night, three men with guns broke into a house and terrorised a man his wife and their daughter.

The incident occurred at 7.30 p.m., and the family was beaten and tied up.

Sgt Rodney is spearheading investigations.
