A manufacturing executive has taken over as chief executive of local rum producer Angostura Ltd.

Wayne Yip Choy, a former president of the Trinidad and Tobago Manufacturers’ Association, was announced yesterday as the new CEO of Angostura Holdings Ltd.

His appointment was with immediate effect.

The announcement was made in a statement from the Laventille company by Angostura chairman Dr Shafeek Sultan-Khan.

’Mr Yip Choy is well known in the manufacturing sector and is the former president of the Trinidad and Tobago Manufacturers’ Association,’ Angostura said in the statement.

a former managing director at brewing company Carib.
