Met Office: More showers to come

Expect more rain today and tomorrow.

A meteorologist at the Met Office said yesterday that the fickle weekend weather was caused by a passing tropical wave early Saturday and a persistent Inter-tropical Convergence Zone (ITCZ).

’The ITCZ is in the area and bringing with it pockets of instability,’ she said, explaining that intermittent rain occurred as the pockets passed. The Met Office measured just under 55 mm of rainfall over the weekend period.

The Met Office also advised that isolated afternoon shower activity today will increase in intensity by tomorrow as a weak tropical wave is expected to pass over the country between tonight and tomorrow morning.

Water, water everywhere, nor any drop to drink. And what WASA and Manning are doing? I shall tell you building desalination plants while all that free water goes to waste.

It is Manning fault the rain is falling.
