THE body of a man with his throat slit was found in a building in downtown Port of Spain early yesterday morning.

Wendell Cruickshank, 36, was found on the fourth floor of Queen Plaza, on Queen Street around 4 a.m. Investigators were told he had last been seen alive on Friday.

His killing is believed to be linked to a dispute he had with another man recently. It was the third murder recorded since Friday, following that of Errol Best and Carenage dentist Mervyn Maclaren.

The murder toll now stands at 326.

Officers from the Port of Spain Homicide Bureau are investigating all three incidents.
