Woman held trying to mail cocaine packets in Bible

A 29-year-old woman went to a post office in San Fernando yesterday and attempted to mail a package containing packets of cocaine.

The drug, with an estimated street value of $100,000, was stashed inside a Bible, police said.

The woman who lives at King’s Wharf, San Fernando, was taken into police custody around midday.

Police said she went to the Carlton Centre branch of TTPost and filled out a form to send the package to an address in Toronto, Canada. She gave her address as Cocoyea, San Fernando.

Employees examined the package and found 29 packets of cocaine. Police said pages of a Bible were cut out and replaced with the drug.

The woman told police she did not know what was inside the package, since a friend asked her to make the trip to the post office.

The woman was being interrogated by investigators last evening.

San Fernando police are continuing investigations.

That's disgusting! It should serve as a ;lesson to all...If you are "just a delivery person", insist on knowing the contents of the package. Don't be a drug mule.

After the Law is done with punishing this woman, God should also do his part. I'm no expert in these matters, but I'm pretty sure that this is a sin.
post it Posted: 2009-08-28 03:00:00 AM
I am quite sure that she was posting the drugs to herself.

That's what she get. Is she that stupid that she didn't inquire what she was taking to the post office? The devil was overthrown once again, and the almighty triumph. Let's hope our judicial system put her to justice

Lock her up and throw away the keys.
Hmmm Posted: 2009-08-28 09:48:00 AM
Well lets hope that the "friends" name has been disclosed to the police, and that the "friend" will admit to giving her the package without telling her what was in it. But I have a strong feeling that this "friend" will prove less that friendly.

I am no Judge or Jury only God has that Authority. But, have no fear he already started, that is why she was caught. Hopefully, one less drug dealer!
