A police sergeant assigned to the Special Branch in Port of Spain has been charged with two sex crimes in connection with a 14-year-old girl-the niece of a woman he was dating.

The officer is expected to appear before a Chaguanas magistrate charged with two counts of serious indecency.

It is alleged that the officer molested the girl at a house in Cunupia.

The girl told her father, who is also a police officer, and Central Division officers investigated the case.
