HOMICIDE detectives are asking for the public’s assistance in identifying a homeless man who was shot dead at Duncan Street, Port of Spain, shortly after 11 a.m. yesterday.

According to the police, the man was of mixed descent, dark-skinned and believed to be in his mid-50s.

Officers said that the man was standing near an apartment along Duncan Street when a man walked up to him and opened fire.

The killer then fled.

The victim ran a short distance, fell and died.
