Fugitive gunned down in Beetham

The man suspected to have shot and killed Ornella Nanton before she was taken dead to the St Margaret’s Police Station three weeks ago, was himself gunned down Monday night.

Fugitive Clint John, 26, was shot multiple times at 19th Street, Beetham Gardens, at around 8 p.m. John was the only suspect in the killing of Nanton, 18. On the evening of August 28, Nanton had asked the driver of the car she was travelling in to stop the car so she could speak with John at Claxton Bay.

She reported asked John, who was recently released from prison, to change his ways.

John answered by shooting her twice in the head. The driver took Nanton to the police station, seeking refuge for himself.

John resided at St John’s Road, Claxton Bay. Relatives declined to speak about him yesterday.

Another one gone, Another one gone, Another one gone. Sing the chorus, people. They are going slowly but surely. Pretty soon our nation will be a paradise again.
